SFFILM Festival is the longest-running film festival in the Americas, and its organization was looking to set it’s 60th anniversary apart from all previous festivals. So we at MuseBrands decided to create something that would be an ode to the last 60 glorious years of filmmaking.
Thus, I became directly responsible for developing the key art that became the visual centerpiece for the SFFILM’s milestone 60th anniversary Festival. Going back to the tactile dimensions of photo paper, I used complex folding techniques to bring the third dimension to a 2d format. The result was an iconic image that took the festival-goers from the era of analog 35mm films to the digital 4K cinema of today.
